Saturday 25th October 2014 was the day Sherri and Robert tied the knot, they had their wedding ceremony and reception at the beautiful Crabbs Barn based in the outskirts of Kelvedon in Essex. Crabbs Barn dates back to the 15th century and it offers a lovingly-restored barn, the barn itself features exposed beams and vaulted ceilings with beautiful views overlooking the pond and grounds. Sherri and Robert were absolutely blessed with perfect weather on the day - 16 degrees and Sunny was amazing especially given the day before it was freezing cold, grey and wet. It's so nice to have a late October wedding in glorious sunshine because the light this time of year is perfect..
I had so much fun photographing their wedding and I really wish them then a lifetime of happiness together!!!
Before their wedding I asked Sherri and Rob a handful of questions about their thoughts behind their wedding day and how they met;
1. What are the theme and colours of your wedding?
No theme just a bit shabby chic, chosen colour is purple
2. How did you come up with your theme?
Purple is my favourite colour
3. Please list the name and website of the wedding pros you’ve hired:
Church: N/A
Venue: Crabbs Barn
Officiant/Minister: Registrar from Braintree registry office
Photographer: You! Yes thats me lol
Video: My Uncle; Tom Robinson
Entertainment: N/A
Florist: All centrepieces and bouquets I've made
Dress Designer: Justin Alexander from Confetti and Lace
4. How did the two of you meet?
Coopers arms in Chadwell Heath, Rob was drunk and can't remember meeting me, I told him where to go, he then spent over a month asking for my number every time I went in there before eventually stealing it from my cousins phone and badgering me for a date!
In the meantime I have included a selection of TEASER photographs for you all to enjoy whilst I'm working away in getting their wedding day slideshow prepared, the slideshow will be available within the next 14 days. Feel free to use these photographs on social media but I do request that you do not crop my watermark from any image you use, this isn't just about copyright but the watermark gives each photograph some security online.
It was great meeting everyone at the wedding (even the photo bombers, you know who you are lol), please leave a lovely comment below!!!
All the best, Gavin
