There are certain images you can't explain but just fall in love with and this is one of those. I was photographing my little cousins a couple of weeks ago and absolutely adore this shot it's jammed packed full of his personality and it just makes me smile so I thought I'd share it with you all.
gavin conlan photography facebook fan page is NOW live | www.gavinconlan.com
FINALLY....... after many many debates I've finally been convinced to create my very own facebook fan page for gavin conlan photography, I've been using facebook personally for years now and I was always a firm believer of using my personal account for both day to day usage and my photography. To be honest I've never really got into the habit of posting imagery on facebook so now this fan page has given me a fresh start and I really do plan on showcasing my work a lot more often on here. It'll also contain links to my journal so you'll be able to access my latest blog postings through the page.
I'm really promising to keep the page up to date and I really hope you enjoy viewing the fan page over the coming months as it evolves......... and IF I'm really lucky then you might even consider liking the page as I need to get to 25 fans to be able to give it it's own personal web address ...lol...
The image below is from my fan page and you can click here to go directly to the page....
Photo shoot with Miriam in Shoreditch London | www.gavinconlan.com
Well its been over a month since my last post so I'm thinking it's about time I show you some more work.
I'm planning on posting at least once a week from now on whether it's through images or useful information as I've been working through a backlog of edits so I do have lots to share with you.
Back in May I did a photo shoot with Miriam, the location chosen was Shoreditch in fact our starting point was the Hoxton Hotel on Great Eastern Street - all the images shot were within a 50 metre radius of the rear of the hotel due to the weather not being very good.
I hope you enjoy viewing the selection from this shoot....
Beverley & Ryan's Wedding at the Lords Golf and Country Club in Rayleigh Essex
This past Saturday the 9th July I had the pleasure of photographing Beverley and Ryan's wedding, it is such a beautiful thing when you see families so full of love, everything and everyone were amazing in helping me achieve the shots I needed. I hope when you view the images and the online slideshow once it's live you'll be able to grasp the absolute joy and feel the special bond they have with their family and friends.
Their wedding was at the Lords Golf and Country Club (www.lordscountryclub.com) - it's the first time I've covered a wedding here and it was a great experience barring the lack of air conditioning at the start of the ceremony, needless to say I got a little bit hot ..... We were really lucky to have such great weather, everyone could chill out on the decking over looking the golf course and the children could be let loose on the grass to play between the ceremony and wedding breakfast.
I want to give a special mention to Ryan's speech, mate hand on heart that was one of the best speeches I've ever heard.
I just want to take this time in thanking everyone again for making my job so easy I had a real blast and it's a true honour being your photographer.
I hope you enjoy their slideshow and imagery, please feel free to leave any comments below;
Photo shoot on the steps of St Paul's Cathedral with Stella | www.gavinconlan.com
Back in November I met up with Stella for our second shoot. This time we decided to meet at St Paul's the weather again dictated our schedule, you'll see from the images below the locations we ended up using. The shoot started on the steps of St Paul's I love the columns of this building, amazing architecture.... from there we travelled across to the Southbank and started to walk along the river to London Bridge, the next location was a tunnel we walked through, I saw this awesome piece of light (our very own spotlight) and lastly we ended up on Southwark Street with the panel of wicked lights they have on display. As I mentioned the weather was bitterly cold so to end up with the selection of imagery we did was amazing. Every shot except the ones on the last location were shot using just natural available daylight, the last selection were lit using my wicked little portable daylight balanced led lights.....
I hope you enjoy the images below....!!!!
